Technical Parameters

Electrical properties
The insulation resistance should be ≥1000MΩ・km under the test condition of 20℃ to ensure good insulation performance. ​​
The voltage withstand test uses industrial frequency and requires a voltage of 3.5kV for 5 minutes to test the equipment's ability to withstand voltage.
The standard value of working capacitance is specified as ≤120pF/m. This test needs to be performed at a frequency of 1kHz to measure its capacitance characteristics under working conditions.
The above parameters and their corresponding standard values ​​and test conditions are important indicators for evaluating electrical performance and are of key significance for ensuring the normal operation and safe use of equipment.

Fire performance
According to the BS 6387 test standard, under multiple harsh test conditions of 950℃ flame burning, mechanical vibration interference and water spray, after 3 hours of testing, it finally passed the test successfully and demonstrated excellent performance.​​
According to the IEC 60331 test standard, after continuous testing for 3 hours in a high temperature environment of 750°C, the device can still maintain a full power-on state, demonstrating good stability and reliability. ​​
According to the GB 31247 test standard, the combustion calorific value is tested, requiring the combustion calorific value to be ≤1.8MJ/kg. The actual test results meet the standards and comply with relevant requirements.
These different test standards and their corresponding test conditions and results comprehensively and meticulously evaluate the performance of products in different dimensions, providing strong verification of product quality.

Mechanical environmental performance
In terms of tensile strength, the standard of BTTZ is ≥200N/mm², while the standard of NG-A is ≥150N/mm². In comparison, BTTZ has stronger tensile properties. ​​​​
Regarding the bending radius, BTTZ is required to reach 6D, while NG-A is 10D, which means that BTTZ is superior to NG-A in bending flexibility and is easier to perform bending operations during construction.
The operating temperature parameters show that BTTZ can work normally in an environment of -40℃ to 250℃. The operating temperature range of NG-A is wider and it can operate stably in an environment of -40℃ to 1000℃. NG-A has a better ability to adapt to extreme temperatures.
In the face of a short circuit, both BTTZ and NG-A can withstand a high temperature of 1000°C for 5 seconds, and the two are comparable in their ability to withstand short-circuit temperatures. ​​
BTTZ and NG-A have their own advantages and disadvantages in different parameters. BTTZ has advantages in tensile strength and bending radius, while NG-A has more advantages in operating temperature range. The same short-circuit temperature tolerance provides reliable protection for both in extreme circuit failures.

Choose according to fire resistance requirements
If you need to meet the 3-hour fire resistance requirement, it is recommended to use BTTZ type cable, which has been verified by the BS 6387 CWZ test standard and can maintain stable performance under the test of fire for a long time.
For scenarios where the fire resistance time requirement is 1.5 hours, NG-A cable is a suitable choice. It complies with the GB/T 19216 test standard and can ensure uninterrupted power transmission within the corresponding time.
The YTTW cable can meet the 1-hour fire resistance requirement and has been tested according to the IEC 60331 test standard. It can effectively ensure the normal use of the cable in a short-term fire environment. ​​
Different cable models correspond to different fire resistance time requirements, and their quality is controlled through corresponding testing standards. The adaptation of these standards and models provides a scientific basis for cable selection in engineering design, helping to ensure the safety and reliability of the power system in fire scenarios.

Select by laying method
When faced with direct burial or underwater laying conditions, BTTZ cable becomes an ideal choice due to its copper sheath sealing characteristics. This sealing structure can effectively resist soil corrosion and water penetration, ensuring long-term and stable operation of the cable.
In the bridge laying scenario, NG-A cable stands out with its lightweight feature. Its lightweight material is not only easy to install and carry, but also reduces the bearing pressure of the bridge and improves the laying efficiency and safety.

Comparison with Traditional Solutions

In terms of fire resistance time, MI cable performs well, reaching ≥3 hours, while the fire resistance time of mica tape fireproof cable is relatively short, ≤1.5 hours. MI cable has more advantages under the long-term test of fire. ​
In terms of waterproof performance, MI cable has an IP68 waterproof standard and can adapt to extreme humid environments such as underwater. The waterproof level of mica tape fireproof cable is IP54, and its protection ability is slightly inferior, which makes it difficult to meet the needs of high humidity and water immersion scenarios.
In terms of cable service life, the MI cable has a design life of up to 50 years, far exceeding the 20 years of mica tape fire-resistant cable. It does not require frequent replacement during long-term use, reducing maintenance costs and construction risks.
In terms of installation difficulty, MI cable requires professionals and equipment to install due to its special structure and performance requirements; mica tape fireproof cable adopts conventional installation method, which is easier to use and suitable for ordinary construction teams. ​​
In summary, MI cable has superior performance in fire resistance, waterproofness and life, but has high installation requirements; although mica tape fireproof cable is slightly weaker in these aspects, it is easier to install. Both have their own characteristics, and in practical applications, they need to be reasonably selected according to project requirements.
